Songs for Psychos, part one initiates spoonPhase's artistic exploration of a shattered mind. With equal parts darkness and whimsy, these compositions meander through the corridors of the mind with a music that at times seems like lullabyes or serenades, and at other times like mockery and deconstruction.
This is great headphone music, given the artist's talent for creating a sense of spatial arrangement within the music, but a mischeivous soul might also be tempted to play this in public spaces...
Sam Hodge, the principal talent behind spoonPhase, has also been featured on "To Ancient Noise: A Webbed Hand Compilation" [wh024] as thE sounD of dirT. in this current project he enters the realm of conceptual electronica.

At last something new and fresh among WH releases! This is not ambient, this not drum'n'bass. This is vivid, cunning and smart, with a sharp sense of spatialization and frequencies combination. A true work of experience under an harlequin suit.
